Another rough day
I spent at least 6 hours today walking through the fiercest snow blizzards I've ever experienced, on unlit motorways that run through forests. Not a fun day by any stretch of the imagination, in fact it was the hardest so far, a lot harder even than when I got stuck in that Polish town near the Lithuanian border.
I did meet some cool people along the way, though. I'll tell you all about it tomorrow. Now I'm going to sleep, although I don't know if I'll be able to as my body is seriously hurting that much.
One thing I learned today is that there is absolutely nothing that can get me down or defeat me. I feel super-human after today.

Ankle's alright. I can still feel it sometimes if I put too much pressure on it, but for walking it's fine.
Thanks for the donation, you've given too much already!

Mate your story has the making of a great book.
Listen you are a star... there was a guy on the radion a few weeks who had the intention to travel free to India. He was going to 'pay his way' by doing odd jobs for people. He got on Radio 4. Anyway it took him 3 weeks to get to Calais where he promptly gave up. And they reported that as well on the radio.
Anyway hope you feel encouraged... and definitely time for more media coverage. Spend a few days in Riga recovering and contact all the media people who have covered you to date and try to persuade them to do a follow-up story... and get the website address in the story LOL
